Director, Armand Swart forms part of the Disputes, Investment Funds, Regulatory and Technology & Innovation practice areas. He advises on data privacy; investment funds; commercial transactions; regulatory compliance; and commercial disputes. He is an experienced regulatory lawyer with a focus on data protection, consumer facing laws, payments, financial services, and insurance. Armand advises on commercial aspects, including compliance, disputes, and regulatory investigations. He holds further qualifications in EU data protection law, information program management, and payments.

Armand holds the designations of Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Armand holds a BA (cum laude), BA Joint Honours (cum laude) and an LLB (magna cum laude) from Rhodes University. Armand was elected as an International Association of Privacy Professionals’ Knowledge Chapter Chair for Cape Town and is currently serving a two-year term.
