Draft Code of Good Practice on the Prevention and Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work

On 20 August 2020 the Minister of Employment and Labour, Thembelani Waltermade Nxesi, published the Draft Code of Good Practice on the Prevention and Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work (“Draft Code“) in terms of the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998 (“EEA“) and on the advice of the Commission for Employment Equity.
The Draft Code is aimed at addressing “the prevention, elimination and management of Violence and Harassment that pervade the world of work.” Written comments on the Draft Code may be submitted within 60 days from 20 August 2020 to the following:
