Daniella van Wyk is a Director in the Banking & Finance practice area. Daniella specialises in banking and corporate finance transactions, acting on behalf of both borrowers and lenders. She has experience in a broad range of financing transactions, including acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated and bilateral financing structures. She also has experience in the cross-border space, having assisted on multiple cross-border transactions and has also spent a term abroad working in the debt finance team of London-based White & Case LLP.​​​​​​

  • Advised The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and Investec Bank Limited in a ZAR4,5 billion leveraged acquisition finance deal in which a consortium of local and international investors led by Actis Africa Limited required funding to acquire 100% of the issued share capital of Swiftnet SOC Limited from Telkom SA SOC Limited.
  • Advised Absa Bank Limited, Investec Bank Limited, The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and FirstRand Bank Limited in the provision of ZAR 2,7 billion in bridge funding to Frogfoot Networks Pty Ltd to expand its fibre infrastructure business, followed by the refinancing and restructure of existing loan facilities within the group amounting to ZAR7,2 billion.
  • Advised Engen Petroleum Proprietary Limited on the refinancing of its existing debt facilities of ZAR7 billion with The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and FirstRand Bank Limited.
  • Advised Investec Bank Limited and Absa Bank Limited in the ZAR450 million upsize and restructure of existing loan facilities provided to Scaw South Africa Proprietary Limited.
  • Advised Investec Bank Limited and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited in the ZAR300 million upsize and restructure of existing loan facilities (ZAR 1 billion) provided to Phuma Finance Proprietary Limited.
  • *Advised Castik Capital S.à r.l., a European private equity firm, as sponsor in connection with a €127 million senior secured credit facility made available to fund its acquisition of a leading damage repair business, as well as ongoing advice in relation to debt restructuring and financing for bolt on acquisitions.
  • *Advised AGP Worldwide Operations GmbH and AGP Group S.àr.l., as Borrowers, in connection with US$250 million secured loan financing to refinance existing credit facilities, finance the construction and purchase of property, plant and equipment as part of AGP's global expansion plans and for general corporate and working capital purposes, as well as ongoing advice in relation to debt restructuring and second lien financing.
  • *Advised a prominent private credit lender, as lead arranger, in connection with a £325 million senior secured credit facility made available to a global private equity firm to fund a majority investment in one of the largest privately owned independent financial advisor businesses in the United Kingdom.
  • *Advised a prominent private credit lender, as lead arranger, in connection with a £116 million senior secured credit facility made available to a private equity firm to fund the acquisition of a leading accredited assurance service provider.
